La Bella Vita Hospice is continually staying up to date regarding the latest news and information on COVID-19 from the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) and other local, national health departments.
Our team is continuing to follow the most stringent guidelines to ensure the health and wellbeing of our residents and team members.
In order to sustain these health and safety standards, we have enacted additional safety measures to protect both residents and team members from exposure. Activities will be delivered to residents so they can enjoy personalized and individually accommodated programs. In addition, many residents can remain in communication with loved ones through virtual communication technology such as Facetime, Zoom, and Skype.
Our dining rooms will remain temporarily closed and meals will be prepared for delivery to our resident’s respective homes.
Our facilities and team have received thousands of liters of touch-free sensor pumps and soap to help ensure the safety of both patients and team.
All essential visitors, vendors, contractors, as well team members are appropriately screened upon entry into our communities.
We are staying active in key measures such as symptom screening, infection surveillance, reviewing procedures and adapting contingency plans as necessary. Notable symptoms we screen for are fever, coughing, difficulty breathing and shortness of breath.
Residents with a positive and confirmed case of COVID-19 (or highly suspected) are quarantined until the resident’s medical provider and county Department of Public Health determines that safety precautions can be relaxed. Our dedicated team members will be working closely with the resident(s) and wear personal protection equipment of their own.
Our team is following-up and continuing with new efforts to ensure adequate supplies of personal protective equipment, sanitizing products, and emergency food supplies. Our team members have also received additional training regarding recommended hand washing protocols and hygiene standards.
The following steps are recommended by the CDC to help reduce and curve the spread of respiratory viruses, including the coronavirus and flu:
The team at La Bella Vita Hospice wishes you and your loved ones to stay safe and healthy during this time.
